Because the application is very obtuse


and would take longer to explain than the original post.

I basically need to attach something to one piece of wood so that another piece of wood will not slide around when set on top of it.

I ended up trying friction tape held in place with some really good double-sided tape. I think that will work, but it is still one more step than I was hoping for.
